The Eckmann Family's Story
Navigating the real estate market is no easy feat, but doing so alongside a trusted realtor and comrade makes for even more successful outcomes. That’s how the Eckmann family bought their dream home and opened a thriving second location for their business amidst one of the most challenging real estate climates.
The Eckmann Family’s Story
The Benefit of Having Friends in Real Estate
Jordan King, Pluris’ residential specialist, and Amanda Eckmann, Louisville transplant and owner of Jones & Daughters boutique, have been close friends and supporters of each other’s businesses for years. As a homeowner and small business owner, Amanda trusted Jordan to share candid local real estate advice for years. When it was time to find a second location for the business, Amanda and her husband Brad knew exactly who to turn to.
As Jones & Daughters’ popularity increased, so did its need for a second location with space to support growing online retail sales. With a limited understanding of Louisville’s commercial market, the Eckmanns relied on Jordan to share market insights. Although all signs pointed to the East End, the Eckmanns were hesitant to open in this area of town. But Jordan saw the potential in Lyndon Yard.
Lyndon Yard: The Perfect Match
Located on the highly trafficked Lyndon Lane and just minutes from the bustling Westport Village and Oxmoor Center, Lyndon Yard offered the best of all worlds with a prominently displayed storefront, back end warehouse space, prime parking to host boutique events, and a convenient location between Louisville’s most affluent neighborhoods. What’s more, the Eckmanns were impressed with Pluris’ dedication to managing Lyndon Yard and recognized the benefit of a landlord committed to enhancing its property and tenants.
The only challenge – budget.

With construction costs at an all time high, it was important for Pluris to help Jones & Daughters make opening a second location feasible.
After sourcing quotes, weighing every possible option and several months of renovations, Jones & Daughters opened in the fall of 2023. That holiday season, the Lyndon Yard location performed on par with its NuLu counterpart and became a go-to shopping destination for East End clientele.
Next, it was time to tackle the residential real estate market.
Finding Home Sweet Home
Upon relocating to Louisville in 2018, the Eckmanns settled in a gorgeous and spacious Glenview home but soon realized they wanted to be closer to their childrens’ schools and activities. Jordan and Amanda casually discussed moving plans for years until Jordan recognized that it was time to actively encourage the Eckmanns to make a formal plan for the transition from one house to another.
Jordan sat down with Brad and Amanda to discuss what they wanted in their next home and devise a plan for selling their current home. While the seller’s market, prime location and move-in-readiness of the home were working in the Eckmanns’ favor, Jordan advised on and personally assisted the Eckmanns in enhancing their home to secure the most favorable offer.
“What truly sets Jordan apart is her genuine care and dedication to her clients. She didn't just see us as another transaction; she treated us like family, going above and beyond to ensure our happiness and satisfaction. She helped us get our home ready to sell and spent so much time helping us purge and stage our home.”

The Eckmanns’ home hit the market in January of 2024, and within 3 days, they received an all cash offer at listing price and a generous closing time frame. Soon after, Jordan helped the family craft a competitive offer on a multiple-bid listing that secured their perfect home, ideally located within minutes of their schools and other daily activities.
“Working with Jordan was absolutely game-changing. From the moment we decided to sell our house and find a new home, she was there every step of the way, guiding us with expertise, patience, and unwavering support.”
